GED Prep Program

Here is the full breakdown of the program tiers we’ll be offering through Soulful Support Training Academy. This includes our GED track, our Sophia.org college-credit extension program, and our HHA Training Academy.

Class

Price: $475

 

This is our entry-level program for students who need structured GED support and a CPR certification.

Program Structure (Hybrid):

Students will follow a one-week on/one-week off system:

 

  • Week 1 (Independent Week):
    Students come into our computer lab and work independently on their GED modules online.
    Everything is self-paced, flexible, and accessible.

  • Week 2 (Tutor Week):
    Students return for hands-on support with an in-person tutor.
    They get guided instruction, problem-solving help, and structured study support.

This cycle repeats until they complete their GED preparation.

Included Support & Services:

  • Adult & Pediatric CPR/First Aid certification

  • Transportation to their official GED test

  • Guidance and support for college readiness

  • College tours (Springfield Technical Community College & Holyoke Community College)

  • Assistance with enrolling in college-level courses

  • Ongoing support during their entire first semester of college

This program is designed to support students from the moment they begin studying through their transition into higher education.

Total Price: $1,050

This tier is for students who want to move ahead academically by earning transferable college credits through an accredited online platform.

Everything in Tier 1 is included, plus:

Sophia.org College Credit Program (3 Months)

Students will come back after completing their GED exam and begin a 3-month accredited online college-credit program. This gives them a head start on their college journey.

Program Structure (Hybrid):

Same format as the GED program:

  • Week 1 – Independent Week:
    Students complete Sophia.org courses online, self-paced, in our computer lab or at home.

  • Week 2 – Tutor Week:
    Students come in for structured tutoring support to help progress through their courses.

Areas We Support Them In:

We specialize in helping students complete 12–15 college credits in their first 3 months.

Typical courses include:

  • English

  • Math

  • Psychology

  • Introductory science courses

  • And any prerequisites required for the program they want to enter (nursing, human services, early childhood, medical assisting, etc.)

Additional Support Provided:

  • Continued college tours

  • Assistance signing up for programs at STCC or HCC

  • Guidance with course selection and program placement

  • Tutoring and coaching through their entire Sophia.org plan

This tier is designed to give students a real academic jumpstart.

Full Bundle Price: $1,299

(This price reflects the combined cost of the HHA program + the Basic GED Prep bundle, with a $75 discount applied.)

  • Home Health Aide (HHA) Certificate Program

  • Hybrid Structure:

    • Online coursework completed independently

    • Two in-person skills days for hands-on practice and certification

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR certification — required for medical professionals

  • Adult & Pediatric CPR/First Aid certification

  • Additional specialty care certificates:

    • End-of-Life Care

    • Dementia Care

    • Infection Control

    • Ethics & Communication

GED Prep is also included in this full bundle:

  • Hybrid GED program (one week independent, one week tutor-led)
